Panic disorder is an anxiety disorder characterized by unexpected episodes of intense fear accompanied by physical symptoms that may include chest pain, racing heartbeat, shortness of breath or dizziness. Panic is not necessarily brought on by an identifiable circumstance. However, excessive stress or other negative life events can trigger an attack.

Summit Research Network participates in research studies of investigational medication for panic disorder. If you are selected, all research-related care and study medications will be provided at no cost.
